Receiving a piece of mail has always been a special form of communication. It’s so exciting to know that someone took extra time out of their busy day to send you a letter instead of opting for just a quick email or text. However now more than ever before, with so many of us unable to visit family and friends, sending a card has a whole new appreciation. It’s a way we are now able to show someone we are there for them when it’s needed most.
Notions Commotion was a little different this year.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with this event, it is a three day retailer education workshop where vendors and designers come to teach classes. During this event, retailers are able to see new products, learn new tips and tricks to take back home with them, and gather ideas for future classes they can hold at their stores. Even though we were not able to host the event in person this year, we did allow those who were planning on attending the event to join us for a virtual Notions Commotion and it was a huge success! It has been a month since the virtual event and now we can finally share some of the projects with the public!
Today we're highlighting three beautiful cards from our "Make & Take" portion of Notions Commotion 2020. Each project is from a different vendor, with directions and shopping links provided. Everything is right here for you to easily create your own trendy cards.
Colorado Craft Co. - Big & Bold Insects & Greenery Cards
“We would like to share with you our Big & Bold Insects & Greenery clear stamp sets and dies. These fantastic Big & Bold bugs are not contagious, but they can produce some infectious smiles!
We created three cards using these sets and a new technique called Watercolor Swathing, developed by one of our card designers, Daniel West. It incorporates a clean and simple composition with watercolor, but only coloring a section of the card panel and leaving large portions white.” ~Colorado Craft Company
